Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly hails from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal practice is centered around family law. She has a love for it. She focuses a majority of her work on divorce cases, alimony disputes, property distribution in marital relationships and child custody battles. child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues, step-parent and private party adoptions and concerns regarding child welfare. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since the year. She assists parties to resolve their disputes without the need for litigation or court involvement. In addition to mediations arranged by the court, Ashley also mediates in private cases for people who would prefer to avoid the court process and litigation.

After having completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola University of Maryland, where she received two bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. After graduating in 2013, she excelled academically, placing among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was a Note Editor for the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This demonstrates her dedication to scholarship and legal research.

Following the completion of her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship experience, working for distinguished jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to work as a law assistant to the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014, she returned to Hagerstown, Maryland, to work as an attorney for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. The primary role she played at the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters pertaining to child welfare. Through her tireless efforts, Ashley played a vital role in helping children who had suffered neglect or abuse at the from their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to social injustice extended beyond her legal career as she served as a member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She was a tireless worker to raise awareness regarding human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the fields of family law - divorce child support, custody and guardianships - as well as estate planning - wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directive/healthcare proxies and mediation.

Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC in 2023. She has a an intention to provide a personalized approach to every client's requirements.
